Sprites don't render when a project's Platform is set to WebGL
How to reproduce:
1. Open the user attached project
2. Switch Platform to WebGL in Build Settings
3. Observe the Scene view
Expected result: The Camera GameObject, a blue bird and several background sprites are visible
Actual result: Only the Camera GameObject is visible
Reproducible with: 2020.2.0a14, 2020.2.0a19
Not reproducible with: 2018.4.25f1, 2019.4.5f1, 2020.1.0f1, 2020.2.0a13
Notes:
- Reproducible on macOS 10.14.6, Windows 10 and Ubuntu 18.04
- Reproducible with Metal, Open GL graphics APIs
- Reimporting the project doesn't solve the issue
