GameObject’s X position value keeps increasing when GameObject has an Animator component with added Controller and “Apply Root Motion” setting enabled

How to reproduce:
1. Open the user’s attached “Repro.zip” project
2. Enter “SampleScene” Scene and enter Play Mode
3. Observe the X position of “SKM_Manny” GameObject

Expected result: The value of the X position stays 0
Actual result: Value of X position is going up

Reproducible with: 2020.3.48f1, 2021.3.26f1, 2022.2.21f1, 2023.1.0b18, 2023.2.0a16

Reproduced on: macOS 13.2.1 (Intel)

Notes:
Not reproducible if Controller is set to “None” and “Apply Root Motion” is not enabled in Animator Component
Not reproducible if running the game frame-by-frame in the Editor
