The Scene view Camera momentum keeps building when navigation with arrow keys is interrupted by popping up the context menu
How to reproduce:
1. Create a new project
2. Hold any arrow key to navigate around the scene
3. While moving around, click the Right Mouse Button to invoke the context menu
4. Click anywhere in the Scene view to close the context menu
5. Observe the Scene view
Expected results: The movement is halted when it gets interrupted by the context menu
Actual results: The movement builds up momentum
Reproducible in: 2023.3.0b5, 2023.3.0b8
Not reproducible in: 2023.2.11f1, 2023.3.0b4
Could not test in: 2021.3.35f1, 2022.3.20f1 (No context menu)
Reproduced on: Windows 11 Pro (23H2), MacOS 13.6.3 (M1, 2020)
Not reproduced on: No other environment tested
Notes:
- On macOS, the momentum builds up while the Orbit Tool is active
- Seemingly, the View Tool is stuck being used while building up the momentum
Workaround:
- Press the same arrow key that was held to now stop the movement
- Activate any other window
