[XR SDK] Unity crashes when modifying script in Update() method
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached project ("towerdefensevr.zip")
2. Open the "LevelTest" scene
3. Enter Play mode
4. Open Project window and open "HandDisplay.cs" script
5. Add empty comment to the Update() method
6. Return to the Editor to recompile
Expected result: Editor continues to Play
Actual result: Editor crashes (see "klEmAE1Q8d.mp4" video)
Reproducible with: XR SDK 3.2.17, 4.0.0-pre.3 (2019.4.18f1, 2020.2.2f1, 2021.1.0b3, 2021.2.0a2)
Could not test with: 2018.4.31f1 (XR SDK not available)
Tested:
- Oculus Rift S
Workaround:
- Disable script changes recompile while playing in Preferences -- Stop Playing And Recompile.
