[URP] Sorting Group has no effect on transparent materials when the Render Queue is under 2500
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached "SortingGroup.zip" project
2. Open “Assets/Scenes/SampleScene.unity” Scene
3. Enter the Play mode
4. Observe that the objects in the Game View
Expected result: Both objects on the left and right have the "FRONT" object rendered above the "BACK" object
Actual result: The "FRONT" object is rendered before the "BACK" object on the left side of the Game View
Reproducible with: 2023.2.0a17, 2023.2.7f1,
Not reproducible with: 2021.3.34f1, 2022.3.18f1, 2023.2.0a16, 2023.3.0a1, 2023.3.0b4
Reproducible on: M1 MacOS 14.2, Windows 10 (22H2)
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
Notes:
- Both objects on the left are rendered with a render queue of 2500 while the ones on the right are rendered with a render queue of 2501
- They are all transparent materials with alpha blending, no depth write
- The shader is created with ShaderGraph
