"Unsupported texture format R16 for a swizzle" error and texture is not correctly rendered when using texture Swizzle and reimporting texture asset
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached “IN-89437.zip” project
2. Select the “Garage_Grunge” texture from the Project Window
3. Reimport the texture (Right click > Reimport)
4. Observe the Console and the texture in the Scene view
Expected result: No errors and the texture looks the same as in the Preview Window
Actual result: "Unsupported texture format R16 for a swizzle" error and the texture is completely black in the Scene
Reproducible with: 2022.3.42f1, 2022.3.53f1, 6000.0.28f1
Not reproducible with: 2021.3.46f1, 2022.3.41f1, 6000.1.0a6
Fixed in: 6000.1.0a6
Reproducible on: Windows 11
Not reproducible on: no other environment tested
Notes:
- The error is also shown when changing and applying any values in the Swizzle property
- Could not reproduce with other/newly created textures, but reproduces with the mentioned “Garage_Grunge” texture on different projects (on all render pipelines)
