Unity has no proper script lifecycle for calling event functions before quiting Unity editor
Quitting Unity Editor doesn't call OnDestroy(), OnDisable() event functions which is often used in editor window extension scripts.
Users have no way to make editor plugins which would allow them to execute certain actions before Unity editor quits, like auto-saving or cleaning temp files. There should be implemented a feature somehow similar to OnApplicationQuit(), but just for an Editor, or script lifecycle should be modified so that when Unity editor is closing OnDestroy/OnDisable event functions would be called.
