UI Toolkit Slider element is not controlled correctly when using a gamepad controller
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached “UITKFaultyControllerSupport.zip“ project
2. Connect the controller
3. Open the SampleScene and enter Play mode
4. Move the analog stick of the controller until the Slider element is highlighted in cyan
5. Press “X” or “A” buttons on the controller to select the Slider element
Expected Result: The Slider element value increases
Actual Result: The Slider element moves once and immediately the focus is changed to the button on the first column or it doesn’t move at all
Reproducible with: 1.7.0 (2021.3.39f1, 2022.3.33f1), 1.8.2 (2021.3.39f1, 2022.3.33f1, 6000.0.6f1)
Reproduced on: Windows 11 Pro
Notes:
- Reported noted that the same issue happens if the Slider element is vertical
- Reported noted that moving the Slider element with the controller only works if there are no elements to either side of the Slider
- Issue is reproducible when the controller is connected via cord and via Bluetooth
- Reproducible with Xbox and DualSense controllers
- Also reproducible on Windows and macOS Standalone Players
