Issue ID
1034920
Regression
Yes
[Tilemap] Tiles have no visual reference while inside Tile Palette view
How to reproduce:
1. Open attached "repro_1034920" project
2. Open "SampleScene" scene
3. Select "spritesheet_ground" asset from the Project view
4. Drag it in Tile Palette view
Expected result: Dragged in tiles will appear in Tile Palette view
Actual result: Dragged in tiles are created inside Tile Palette but have no visual reference
Reproduced with: 2017.2.3f1, 2017.4.2f2, 2018.1.0f2, 2018.1.0f2
Not reproducible with: 2017.2.2p3, 2017.4.1f1, 2018.1.0b13, 2018.2.0b2
Could not test with: 2017.1 (feature was introduced in 2017.2)
Notes:
- Tiles are created because you can still draw with them, they just do not have any visual reference inside Tile Palette view
- Tiles work as expected in other views

This has resurfaced in 2018.3.0b1 when using Hex tilesets (flat top or point top).

So I was able to fix the issue. But I'm not sure if this works on your systems. Using Unity 2017.4.1 f1. Create a new folder in your project. Name it anything you want and move all the tiles which are not visible in your Tile Palette to this new folder. Once done they should appear in your Tile Palette. After this you can shift all these tiles back to your old folders from where you moved. I hope this helps.

Same issue here. I heard upgrading to the new beta version can fix this issue but what a pain.

This is classified as duplicate, but not other issue log has been referenced. I am running 2018.1.1f1 and this problem still exists. I believe this problem existed in earlier versions, but was fixed and is now resurfacing in recent versions. This might be why this was mistakenly classified as Duplicate.

The phenomenon of the new version, this is a fatal problem, hope to be able to get attention.
