Have the same annoying bug in Unity 5.3.x for iPhone 6, 5, iPad 3th gen. (didn't try with a android device) on OS X 10.11.4/3 (tested on two different computers). This happens almost everytime I click the "Play" button in Unity Editor when the device is plugged in (While Unity Remote 4 is not opened).
For a workaround; plug out the device, click "Play" in Unity Editor, then plug in the device while in "Play Mode" and then open Unity Remote 4 on device. Follow this steps EACH TIME you re-open Unity. -_-
How Unity cannot reproduce this problem while so many people can easily reproducing it?

The problem did not occur for me when I first used the Unity Remote App, I turned off my computer and the next day when I had my phone plugged in with the USB and tried to use the unity player it gave me that same "FATAL ERROR" that everyone else here has been getting.. This problem seems to me to be very reproducible, happens every time for me now!

Having this issue as well. Unity Remote crashes when using iOS version of Unity Remote. Once I add my phone under Project Settings>Editor and click play it'll say "Fatal Error: MemoryStream is corrupted". Which is a huge bummer as I needed to use this app specifically. It worked in the past, why is this causing a fatal error now?

Just got the same problem, after using Unity Remote 4 on iPhone 6s, Unity version 5.3.2p2. The only way to fix this is delete the whole Library folder.

Having the same problem. Unity will not let me use the editor and Unity Remote 4 to play any of my games on iPhone 6 plus. Why is this closed?

Got this problem in 5.3.2f1 with a new created empty project. I was using Unity Remote 4 on my iPad Air 2. It behaves like a curse. If a project is not "cursed", it's okay with Unity remote. But if it's cursed, it will trigger the problem every time

Hmmm... I've been having this issue in 5.3.2f1: both with my iPhone 6 and my iPad Air 2 - it is reproducible on every attempt. I cannot get it to work with either device. Both are running Unity Remote 4 and are fully updated with the latest version of iOS. Every time I try running my game in the editor with either of these devices connected and selected, it gives the memorystream corrupted error and forces me to close unity and my project. While I am still using the personal version, if I can't get this to work, I'm not sure that I will ever upgrade to the professional version.

If you downgrade your project from 5.3.1.p2 to 5.2.4f1 you may run into the MemoryStream issue. We just confirmed getting this issue on 3 of our systems when downgrading to Unity 5.2.4f1 in order to address a project affecting graphics issue that was introduced in 5.3.
To get around the issue we had to delete the temp and library folder of our project and reinstall Unity. Hope that helps someone. :)
