The Editor becomes unresponsive and memory allocation errors are spammed in the Console when Generating Lightning
Reproduction steps:
1. Download, extract, and open the attached “repro-project“
2. Open the “Assets/Scenes/SampleScene.unity“ scene
3. In the Lightning window select the “Generate Lightning“ button and wait
4. Observe the Console to be spammed with multiple errors related to memory allocation failures
5. Observe the Editor becoming unresponsive
Reproducible with: 2023.2.0a21, 2023.2.3f1, 2023.3.0a17
Not reproducible with: 2021.3.33f1, 2022.3.15f1, 2023.2.0a20
Reproduced on: Windows 10, macOS Sonoma 14.0 (Intel)
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
Notes:
1. If the issue does not occur following the initial steps, attempt to generate lightning again
2. A large memory increase can be observed in the Task Manager before the errors appear
