Regression

Yes

TextMeshPro-Text Component alignment is set to left and top when updating TextMeshPro

Package: TextMeshPro

-

How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached project "1198833.zip"
2. Select the Text (TMP) GameObject and notice its Text alignment
3. Update TextMeshPro

Expected result: Text (TMP) GameObject's Text alignment stays the same
Actual result: Text (TMP) GameObject's Text alignment is reset to left and top

Reproducible with: TMP 1.5.0-preview.1, 1.5.0-preview.2 (2018.4.13f1), TMP 2.1.0-preview.1, 2.1.0-preview.2 (2019.2.13f1, 2019.3.0b12, 2020.1.0a14)
Not reproducible with: TMP 1.4.1 (2018.4.13f1), TMP 2.0.1 (2019.2.13f1, 2019.3.0b12, 2020.1.0a14)

Notes:
The issue is reproducible with GameObjects and Prefabs alike.
Instantiating the affected Prefab will result in a Prefab instance having the expected alignment.
The affected package versions are not available in Unity 2017.4, therefore the issue is not reproducible.

  1. Resolution Note (fix version 1.5.0-preview.3 & 2.1.0-preview.3):

The following issue has been resolved. The fix will be included in the next TMP package release which will be version 1.5.0-preview.3 for Unity 2018.4 and 2.1.0-preview.3 for Unity 2019.x or newer.

This issue can still be reproduced in both in 2.1.0-preview.3 and 2.1.0-preview.14, when upgrading from 2.0.1. Please fix it!
