Is there going to be a fix for Unity 4.6.x for this bug?

I got this bug too, my version is 4.6.5f1. For some reason I can't use the unity3d 5, please fix this bug.

I also see this problem in 4.6.3f1 when I edit the border parameters for a sprite. It causes problems because after making a change to a sprite sheet that has lost some of its names, all of the unnamed sprites must be re-associated with any prefabs that reference them.

Having same issue after upgrading to 4.6.3f1. Specifically happens when changing the pivot of a sprite for me. Looks like this issue was resolved in a future release of 5.x, but the bug was introduced or not patched for 4.x?

I got the same problem in the version 4.6.2f1, and in some cases the name is replaced by a default one, or Unity removes only some letters.
