Sprite placed in Scene view cannot be deleted until user explicitly focuses the object in hierarchy
Regression from 5.6.0p1
Repro:
1. Open attached project or create a new one
2. Drag and Drop the sprite from Assets to scene view
==>
Sprite appears in the Scene view
3. Press "Delete" button
==>
The object is still in the Scene view
Workaround: Click on the object in the hierarchy then press Delete
