Scene grid disappears when Canvas Render mode is set to Screen Space - Camera
To reproduce:
1. Download attached project and open it;
2. Add (UI) Image to hierarchy window;
3. Set Canvas Render mode to Screen Space - Camera;
4. Set current Camera as Render Camera of Canvas;
5. Double click in Hierarchy on Image to focus on it - grid lost;
6. Do double click on Camera to focus on it - grid appeared
Expected result: Grid should not disappear when zoomed in.
Actual result: Grid disappears when render mode is set to Camera for Canvas.
Reproduced: 5.5.0f3; 5.4.4p1; 5.3.6p8; 5.6.0b3
Note: Could not reproduce on Windows 7 only on Windows 10.
Workaround: In the Inspector of Main Camera make Field of View bigger and then grid doesn't disappear.

Hi,
I had UI display issue on editor too, it was because of DirectX 11 running on DirectX 10 GPU.
Solved by changing project settings like so:
-Go to Player category in Project Settings.
-Uncheck "Auto graphics API for Windows
-Set it to OpenGL Core
Hope this help
