Regression
Yes
Render Texture cannot be assigned as a Cookie of lights when assigning through the Inspector
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached project ("1355504_2021.2.0b6.zip")
2. Open SampleScene (Scenes -> SampleScene)
3. Select Directional Light in Hierarchy
4. In the Inspector window open the Cookie Object Picker
5. Observe available choices
Expected result: CustomRenderTex asset available for selection
Actual result: CustomRenderTex asset not available for selection
Reproducible with: 12.0.0 (2021.2.0b6, 2022.1.0a5)
Could not test with: 2019.4.29f1, 2020.3.15f2, 2021.1.16f1 (Light Cookie support available from 2021.2 with Universal RP 12.0.0)
Notes:
- Also reproducible with Point and Spot light types
- In code, any Texture can be assigned to the Cookie property
- It also affects builtin render pipeline (BiRP) and HDRP
