Regression
No
Player crashes when a specific project is built with Burst enabled
How to reproduce:
1. Open the “IN-106901.zip“ project
2. Build the project
3. Run the built Player
4. Observe the Player
Expected result: Player launches, Subscene with pink background UI loads
Actual result: Player crashes
Reproducible in: 1.8.23 (6000.0.9f1, 6000.2.0b7) (By the reporter)
Reproduced on: Windows 11 Pro (24H2) (By the reporter)
Not reproduced on: No other environment tested
Notes:
- Customer QA was not able to reproduce the issue locally
- In the Player logs, burst is not mentioned; however, as the reporter states, when Burst AOT is disabled in Project Settings, the issue will not reproduce
- When testing locally, the Subscene does not seem to not load properly, and might be the reason for our inability to reproduce the issue
- The reporter states that the crash also occurs when all “[BurstCompile]” in Package and Asset scripts are commented out
- Build and Run causes build errors, so building and then separately opening the project might be needed
