Nothing Selected component no longer shows up after deleting a script
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open any Unity project
2. Create a new c# script
3. Attach that script to any gameobject in the Hierarchy
4. Delete the previously created script
5. Select the same gameobject in the Hierarchy
Expected behavior: "Nothing Selected" component is created with a missing script reference
Actual behavior: "Nothing Selected" component doesn't show up
Reproducible with: 2017.1.0f1, 2017.2.0b1
Not reproducible with: 5.6.2p1, 2017.1.0b5
Regression introduced in 2017.1.0b6
