Monodevelop loses code folding on save

CodeEditors

-

When I save a script, code folding for that script only. It comes back randomly some time after going away. I have not been able to reproduce a step to bring it back. Any save removes all code folding from normal code. Folding is retained for some comments and region tags. Other scripts are not effected.

Only partially fixed in MonoDevelop 5.9. Saving a file will no longer make the code folding instantly reset. However, it still isn't saving the code folding -- it will be reset the next time you open the file.

This issue will be fixed once we upgrade to MonoDevelop 5.9

Here are some details on how to use Xamarin Studio 5.9 with Unity today.

This is one of those things where you're like...

"I would never do this to people, I feel better about my coding skills."

This drives me mental. It makes it so much harder to understand what's going on as a beginner when I can't keep the code I'm not interested in hidden.

It is incredible that this isn't a bigger issue. It has been broken for years.
