Microsoft Surface Device freezes when detaching and reattaching physical keyboard attachment to the device in Standalone Player for Windows
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached project “ReproProject“
2. Open the “SampleScene“
3. Build the Standalone Player for Windows
4. Verify that the UI functions properly (i.e buttons are pressed, text can be entered into the fields)
5. Detach and re-attach the physical keyboard-cover attachment to the Surface device
6. Observe the result
Expected result: UI can be interacted with
Actual result: The device and the UI is frozen and is unresponsive
Reproducible in: 2022.1.0a1, 2022.3.61f1, 6000.0.48f1, 6000.1.2f1, 6000.2.0a10
Reproducible on: Windows 11
Not reproducible on: No other environments tested
Reproducible with:
- Microsoft Surface Pro X, Processor: Microsoft SQ1 Processor @ 3.0GHz (ARM) + Keyboard-Cover attachment
- Microsoft Surface 8 (user reported)
- Microsoft Surface 11 Pro (user reported)
Notes:
- Only reproduces in Standalone Player
- The issue is only reproducible on Surface devices with the keyboard-cover attachment.
- Device and the UI appears to stop freezing after about 20-30 seconds and returns to normal operation
- Also reproducible in an empty project
