UUM-40636
Regression
Yes
Memory consumption increases in the Play mode on the URP 3D template with the Android Platform selected when the Editor window is minimized and running in the background
How to reproduce:
1. Open the "IN_40303" project
2. In the Project Settings make sure Android Platform is selected
3. Enter the Play Mode
4. Minimize the Editor
5. Open Task Manager and observe the Unity Editor task
6. Wait for 2-5 min
Expected result: memory consumption is not increasing
Actual result: memory consumption is increasing
Reproducible with: 2022.3.3f1, 2023.1.1f1, 2023.2.0a20
Not reproducible with: 2021.3.27f1
Reproducible on: Windows 10 Pro
Notes:
- Couldn't find regression due to errors when downgrading the project
- Only reproducible on the Android Platform
- Not reproducible in the Player
- Not reproducible if the Editor window is maximized
- Not reproducible on a new project
Workaround: deleting assets or changing the Editor layout fixes the issue
