[macOS][menubar] macOS soft crashes when searching and browsing for disabled menu item
Steps to reproduce:
1. Start the Unity editor with an empty project
2. Click on the "Inspector" window (to make sure the item we will search for is disabled.)
3. Go to "Help" in the menu bar. Type in "input". Mouse over the "UI > TextMeshPro - Input Field" item. Then move the pointer up and down over other items a bunch. Will probably be fine. Then click on the aforementioned item.
4. Click on "Help" again. Your search results should still be there. Highlight the same item again. Then start moving the trackpad up and down again. If you don't get a hang after a few seconds, click on the item, open again, rinse and repeat. It shouldn't take more than 2 or 3 tries. Once you click on the item when the performance seems sluggish, you will get the spinning beach ball.
Actual results: Performance gets very bad. Clicking on the item once performance is bad will show the spinning beach ball. To fully recover I had to hard reboot.
Expected results: Should keep working every time. Clicking on the disabled item should just make the "donk" sound.
Reproducible with versions: 6000.0, 2022.3, 2021.3, 2024.1
