Its not possible to add one scriptable object as a child asset of another scriptable object
To reproduce:
1. Open New Unity Project 4
2. Go to Assets > Create > Create ScriptableObject
3. Select MainScriptableObject
4. In the project browser, select the new MainScriptableObject 1
5. Go to Test > AddChild
6. It should add a child scriptable object to your selection, but instead both objects end up as children of an empty object
