Input.inputString is empty about every other frame while holding a key
How to reproduce:
1. Download attached project file and open "main" Scene
2. Enter Play Mode
3. Press and hold any key (for example "P")
Expected result: Input.inputString should contain the keyboard key being held at any given frame
Actual result: Input.inputString for about half the frames seems to be empty
Reproduced with: 5.6.4f1, 2017.1.2f1, 2017.2.0f3, 2017.3.0b4

That's true. Text input is tied to key repeat on the system. Key repeat is usually slower than frame rate.
I Hope they solve it.
