"GUIView.RepaintAll.RepaintScene" Process takes up a significant amount of processing time when the Animation Preview is visible
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached “ASDQWE” project
2. In the Project Window, select “Assets/SampleSceneAssets/Controllers/ThirdPersonController/Character/Animations/Jump--InAir.anim.fbx” Animation
3. In the Inspector Window, select the Play Animation Preview Button
4. Open the Profiler (Window > Analysis > Profiler)
5. In the Profiler Window, select the Editor profiling mode
6. Observe the “GUIView.RepaintAll.RepaintScene” Process
Expected result: The “GUIView.RepaintAll.RepaintScene” Process does not take up a significant amount of processing time and the Editor’s performance does not slow down
Actual result: The “GUIView.RepaintAll.RepaintScene” Process takes up a significant amount of processing time and the Editor’s performance slows down
Reproducible with: 2023.1.4f1, 2023.2.0b5
Not reproducible with: 2022.3.5f1
Reproducible on: Windows 10
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
Note: It might be required for the mouse to stay idle inside the Animation Preview field
