Gemini CLI gets stuck in “Thinking” state after first response
Description
Gemini CLI responds once to a prompt but then becomes stuck in a “Thinking” state and cannot be stopped.
Steps to Reproduce
- Send a prompt (e.g., “hi”) to Gemini CLI.
- Receive a response.
- Send another prompt.
Expected Behavior
Agent continues responding to subsequent prompts.
Actual Behavior
Agent enters “Thinking” state and does not respond further.
User cannot stop or recover the session.
