Error resuming external process thread 'Editor/Data/Tools/JobProcess.exe` while generating lighting
It is sometimes possible to hit this error while working with lighting related tasks: Error resuming external process thread 'Editor/Data/Tools/JobProcess.exe
This bug can halt the lighting generation process and stop the whole work. The report aims to provide solid reproduction steps.
Steps for reproduction:
1) Download the project from this link: https://oc.unity3d.com/index.php/s/vzVmkcCCtaLw2yD
2) Open `TestScene`
3) Load RenderDoc
4) Press on RenderDoc to capture the frame
5) Open the Lighting Window
6) Manually generate the lighting
7) Observe the bug, error is thrown in the console
Notes:
- A GIF is attached below to show the reproduction steps
- It can be reproduced consistently across 5.5.2p2, 5.6.0f3 and 2017.1.0b4 therefore it is not a regression
