[.NET] IL Offset is not available on Release builds
When Release build configuration is used in Unity, IL Offset is not available, unlike on regular .NET Release builds.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Open the attached project (977545_il_offset.zip).
2) Build and Run a non-development build.
Expected: 'Offset: 2' is displayed.
Actual: 'Offset : 0' is displayed.
This does not happen with regular release .NET builds produced in Visual Studio. The IL Offset is displayed correctly on Development builds.
Reproduces with both .NET 3.5 and 4.6.
Reproduced on:
2018.1.0b1, 2017.3.0b9, 5.6.2f1
Tested on: Windows 10
==========
Resolution:
I have discussed this feature request with upstream Mono developers. It is something they have considered before. At the moment there is not immediate plans to implement it, but we will keep it in mind for future development.
