“Capture Display” fullscreen mode doesn’t work with OpenGL Core or Metal
The OS X standalone player crashes on startup when the following conditions are met:
- “Mac Fullscreen Mode” in the player settings was set to “Capture Display”.
- OpenGL Core or Metal was chosen as the graphics API.
UPDATE:
It doesn't crash anymore. It only draws black screen in the Metal mode, because the Capture Display mode is based on the legacy OS X code; it will shortly be removed.
