Import of assets cannot be cancelled without closing the whole Editor
To reproduce:
1. In a new project, import the attached package (testPackage.unitypackage)
2. When the progress bar says "Importing small assets", press Cancel
3. Observe that it is not possible to simply cancel the import, only continue or quit Unity whatsoever
Expected: pressing Cancel let's you just stop importing the package and doesn't make you quit the whole Editor to stop the import
Reproduced in 2017.2.3f1, 2017.3.2f1, 2017.4.3f1, 2018.1.0f2, 2018.2.0b5, 2018.3.0a1
