App build fails with the “GOT load reloc does not point to a LDR instruction” error when having ECS and Netcode packages if using Xcode 15
How to reproduce:
1. Build the user’s attached “NetcodeExample.zip” project for an iOS platform
2. Open the Xcode project and deploy it to an iOS device
3. Observe the result
Expected result: App builds successfully
Actual result: App build fails with “GOT load reloc does not point to a LDR instruction” error
Reproducible with: 2022.3.11f1, 2023.1.18f1, 2023.2.0b15, 2023.3.0a11
Could not test with: 2021.3.31f1 (errors after downgrading the project), 1.1.0-exp.1 (errors after package upgrade)
Reproduced on:
VLNQA00494 - iPhone 14 Pro Max, 16.3.1 iOS
VLNQA00358 - iPhone 12, 14.1 iOS
VLNQA00392 - iPad (9th generation), 15.0 iOS
VLNQA00310 - iPad Pro 12.9", 13.4.1 iOS
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
Notes:
- used Netcode 1.0.17 package for testing
- reproducible with Xcode 15.0, not reproducible with Xcode 14.3.1
- not reproducible if adding -ld64 flag to Other Linker Flags to UnityFramework target, to use a legacy linker (user’s info)
