[2018.2] Crash on Transform::CheckConsistency when calling Instantiate(Resources.Load(path))
How to reproduce:
1. Open the "TransformCheckConsistency_Crash.zip" project
2. Open the "Mainscene.unity" scene
3. Press Play
Actual result: Unity crashes.
Reproducible with: 2018.2.2f1, 2018.2.0b8.
Regression introduced in: 2018.2.0b8.
Not Reproducible with: 2018.2.0b7, 2018.3.0a7, 2018.3.0a1, 2018.1.9f1, 2018.1.0a1, 2017.4.8f1.
Notes:
Errors before crash appear:
- Assertion failed on expression: 'm_InstanceID != InstanceID_None'.
- Unexpected: object already in ms_IDToPointer map.
The crash is caused by line "(GameObject)Instantiate(Resources.Load("Prefabs/" + unitTag));" UnitSpawner.cs: 74.
The crash is not reproducible if we select or delete "Sparkles" game object in the hierarchy.
