Animator keeps StateMachine state when disabling GameObject

Animator keeps StateMachine state when disabling GameObject, when it should reset the controller.

repro:
-disable, then re-enable GO that is using an Animator controller...
bug: controller resumes where it was when it was disabled.
expected: controller is reset.

    Still not fixed in version 2018.1.0f2 and Beta 2018.2.0b7.
    Please solve this, it's really annoying and it's delaying my project very hard!

    UPDATE: I would like to update my previous comment. Now, after we update Unity to 5.6.1 animations looks fine and work like expected.

    I'm using 5.6.0f3 and this bug is still here! To say the truth, this issue could be useful, but this should let us choose between these two behaviors.

    Same here. I've updated my project from 5.3.6 to 5.6.0f3 and half of our animation doesn't work because of that.
