I have similar problem but !..... In editor video works, after build exe file (mp4,win 7) video is working without problems but then when I take this build and copy it to notebook with Win 10 (all files included) there is video missing. Can it be caused by developing on Win 7 and played on Win 10 ?

I've been struggling with this for months and getting close to ship. Videos play fine in editor on OSX, in builds on OSX, but not in builds on PC.

This issue is very simple to reproduce. It's still occurring in Unity 5.6.3p1 on Windows 10 running on an iMac via Bootcamp.

Note: It ONLY occurs in the build (default options). It works fine in the editor.

Some suggestions for others who are struggling with this as well, I got these observations:

(I got 2 video files, one MP4, one OGV)

After moving the video files to a Resource folder + setting the .ogv file to transcode as VP8 and have the MP4 file transcode as H264 I managed to get it to work in a standalone build.
