“ArgumentException: Invalid double parameter.” error is thrown when Infinity is typed into the Fixed Timestep field
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a new Unity project using the Universal 3D template
- Navigate to Edit > Project Settings > Time
- Type "inf" into the Fixed Timestep field and press Enter
- Observe the Console window
Actual results: “ArgumentException: Invalid double parameter.” error is thrown
Expected results: No errors are thrown
Reproducible with versions: 2023.1.0a23, 6000.0.72f1, 6000.3.12f1, 6000.4.1f1, 6000.5.0b1, 6000.6.0a1
Not reproducible with versions: 2023.1.0a3, 2023.1.0a14
Can’t test with versions: 2023.1.0a15, 2023.1.0a22 (due to different Fixed Timestep functionality)
Tested on (OS): MacOS Silicon Tahoe 26.3
