Regression
Yes
Updating the UI Text component every frame increases memory allocated to meshes
To reproduce:
1. Open the project, attached by user (MemoryTests.zip)
2. Open "main" scene
3. Enter Play mode
4. In Profiler, select Memory and observe as memory for Meshes slowly increases
Expected: memory, allocated to meshes, does not increase if Text is constantly changed
Actual: changing UI Text component's text every frame causes memory leak
Reproduced in 2017.1.0a1, 2017.1.0b5, 2017.1.0b6, 2017.2.0a1
Did not reproduce in 5.5.3p2, 5.6.0f3, 5.6.1p1
Regression introduced in 2017.1.0a1
