Unspecified error during import of AudioClip

Audio

-

Import the attached wav.file. Unity can't import it and shows up this error: "Unspecified error during import of AudioClip Assets/Audio/AudioResources/Voice/GenericSpeaks/_SoundFiles/Max_uk_Gen_Max_LongJump09.wav", which is not helpful at all.

This started happening in Unity 5.0, before alpha 8, and it happens on many different sound files. It can only be reproduced on Mac.

This is a major regression from 4.5 that is affecting a lot of projects, since there is no workaround for this issue.

  1. This is a duplicate of issue #606803

Problem still exists in 5.2 on MacOSX. Are they going to fix this? Is there a workaround?
    Getting frustrated with this.

Same problem here, Windows 7 N, 64. Not one audio clip is working, lost all my references to them as well.

I have just upgraded to 5.0.1f3 and am receiving this error. I have tried a number of things, including a complete wipe of Unity from my system with a full reinstall. I am assuming I must be missing a prereq for the audio import.

Is there a list of dll dependencies anywhere that I can work through until I find the right one? Other sources point towards a broken dependency with the FSBTool.

Oh, note that you can fix this by touching the files in order to set the modified times to the current time.
