uGUI Rect Masks are broken because they affect siblings and not just things under them
To reproduce this bug:
1. Open the attached project
2. Open scene 'Scene'
3. Switch to game view
4. Try swapping places of 'Top Mask' and 'Text in Between' in the hierarchy
5. Notice how it fixes the masking
