[tvOS] CFBundleShortVersionString is not updated when changing Version in Player Settings

--

-

How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached Project "testt"
2. Open Edit -> Project Settings... -> Player
3. Edit the "Version" field to a new value
4. Observe the "Version" field under tvOS settings -> Other Settings

Expected result: The version under Other Settings matches the Version in Player Settings
Actual result: The versions do not match

Reproducible with: 2022.3.18f1, 2022.3.20f1, 2023.3.0b9
Not reproducible with: 2021.3.35f1, 2022.3.17f1, 2023.2.12f1

  1. Resolution Note:

The behaviour now matches the API.
tvOS and visionOS have platforms specific APIs for the Bundle version, so the value in the UI is now also separated.

@STIJN2097, which Unity version are you using?
There are platform specific APIs to change 'tvOSBundleVersion' and 'visionOSBundleVersion':
    https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/PlayerSettings-tvOSBundleVersion.html
    https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/PlayerSettings-visionOSBundleVersion.html

New properties 'tvOSBundleVersion' and 'visionOSBundleVersion' are introduced in 'ProjectSettings/ProjectSettings.asset', but they can not be modified through scripts (for automated builds) like the normal 'bundleVersion' can through 'PlayerSettings.bundleVersion'.

For now we will use a workaround to post-process the xcode project and fix the version for tvOS.
