Texture with no alpha gets corrupted when set to a GUI texture
To reproduce:
1. Open attached project. It contains a texture with no alpha
2. Set the texture as GUI and apply - it gets corrupted in a weird way
3. Set the texture to advanced, disable "Alpha Is Transparency" and hit apply - the texture looks fine
This means that textures without alpha cannot be used as GUI textures
Explanation: the texture provided did have alpha, therefore the results were expected.
