[TextMesh Pro] Text can disappear after a Scene Save
TextMesh Pro text can disappear after a Scene Save
I have a repro of this issue in the attached project, but in this the text will only disappear once and after reappearing is not reproducable. I have seen instances where the text is much more fragile and disappears on every single scene save. If I can repro it a bit better I'll upload another project!
1. Download + Open 'Main' Scene in attached project
2. Enable 'Outline' in the LiberationSans SDF Material
3. Save the Scene
The text should disappear.
Notice that if you go into Play mode everything is still fine! The text also reappears in the scene view after exiting play mode.

After so many years this bug is still in 2021.1.15f1
Why is it checked as "fixed"?

This still happen in 2021. Do people check these and resolve issues or are they just for us to feel like we are involved after 4 years this has no solution.

Unity 2019.2.0f1 the issue still exists. Disabling then enabling text will fix it, but still it's very annoying.

Still alive and well this bug still happens in 2018.4 - can anyone tell what the cause is? Seems odd for it to propagate this long.

Unity 2018.2.13f1 and this is still happening. My whole UI is in Screen Space Overlay with Textmesh Pro 1.3.0, If I make a plain text item it is unaffected, but all other TMPro text disappears until enter then exit play mode after Scene saves. Not sure why this is marked fixed?

Still happening to me: Unity 2017.3.1f1
Changing anything within TMPro fixes it, but it disappears indefinitely unless I toggle something On->Off or enter Play Mode. Annoying if I'm testing scripts in edit mode.
