Spotlights do not cast shadows from objects very close to the light
How to reproduce:
1. Open attached project
2. Open scene scene.unity
- Scene contains two parallel walls made from Cubes, a single plane they're on, as well as a spot light shining on one of the walls
3. Try increasing the Spotlight Range setting
- Note how the light appears to penetrate the first wall onto the second one
- Increasing it more eventually causes the light to pierce the second wall as well
- Original case: http://issuetracker.unity3d.com/issues/light-spotlight-doesnt-drop-shadows-if-positioned-too-close

Oh my god! I've finally found someone who cares! I've posted multiple threads on unityanswers and one bug report about that, yet no one seemd to either know this problem (very strange) or care.
This is a very big hole in the lighting engine and makes immersion impossible for me.
Thank you for reporting it!In Unity 5.1 this is STILL unadressed.

I just submitted this bug as well and I'm using 5.0.2p4, so it's not been addressed yet.
