Oculus XR Plugin SetTrackingOriginMode does not work on the first frame
Steps to reproduce:
- Unity 2020.1.0a7
- Unzip and open the attached case_1190607-VR (2).zip
- Build and Run for Android on an Oculus Quest
Expected:
- The camera starts in a floor-relative position.
Observed:
The camera starts in a device-relative position - the head is in the floor.
In the Apetest scene, on the gameobject named "GameObject" there is a script called Test. This script attempts to set the TrackingOriginMode on the first frame, but the function returns false. If you insert a single frame delay, it works fine.
Oddly, I cannot reproduce this issue starting from an empty project. Is it possible that something to do with SRP is causing a timing issue?
