Objects are not highlighted when clicking on their references in a custom Script Component
How to reproduce:
1. Open the “ReferenceHighlightBug.zip“ project
2. Open the “SampleScene“
3. Select the “ReferenceTest“ GameObject in the Hierarchy
4. Click once on the “Cube“ reference in the Inspector
5. Observe the Project tab
Expected result: “Cube“ GameObject is highlighted and selected
Actual result: Nothing gets highlighted
Reproducible in: 6000.3.0a1
Not reproducible in: 2022.3.63f1, 6000.0.51f1, 6000.1.9f1, 6000.2.0b2, 6000.2.0b7
Reproduced on: Windows 11 Pro (24H2)
Not reproduced on: No other environment tested
Note: Double-clicking the references usually opens them; however, due to this bug, they cannot be opened
