-

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a new Unity project using the Universal 3D template
  2. Make sure the External Script Editor is set to "Open by file extension"
  3. Create a new Material (Assets > Create > Material)
  4. Select the created new Material in the Project Browser
  5. Click the Edit button at the top of the Inspector window
  6. Observe the popups

Actual results: 2 popups appear and a third one when trying to close one of the popups

Expected results: 1 popup appears

Reproducible with versions: 2022.3.64f1, 6000.0.54f1, 6000.1.15f1, 6000.2.0b12, 6000.3.0a3

Tested on (OS): macOS Silicon Sequoia 15.5

Notes:

  • Does not reproduce on Windows 11
  1. Resolution Note:

This is a low impact issue that we don't have resources to prioritize currently. Work-around is to assign an application to .shader files.
