Material of a Mesh Renderer can't be changed more than once in the Material selection window
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached '1323466.zip' project
2. Open 'SampleScene'
3. In the Hierarchy select 'Cube'
4. In the Inspector expand the Materials list under the Mesh Renderer component
5. Press the little circle with a dot to open the Select Material window
6. Select the 'Test1' Material, then select the 'Test2' Material
Expected result: The Material is changed to 'Test2'
Actual result: The Material doesn't change after selecting the first Material
Reproducible with: 2020.2.6f1, 2020.2.7f1, 2020.3.0f1
Not reproducible with: 2018.4.33f1, 2019.4.23f1, 2020.2.5f1, 2020.3.1f1, 2020.3.2f1, 2021.1.1f1, 2021.2.0a10
