I also have this issue. Cannot import any audio asset in any version of Unity. Problem started after upgrading MacOS to version 10.15.

Seeing same problem. Working project, add .mv4 file and it freeze with the import popup. Have to hard restart to make the import dialog go away.

This is happening to me on OSx 10.15.1 with Unity 2017.4.30 f1 . At the moment the audio files in the project setting is causing unity to either crash entirely or Hang.

Confirmed it's happening to me today with OSX 10.15 and Unity 2018.2.17.

Looking at upgrading to Unity 2018.4.

I'm having this issue with 2018.1.5 and 2018.1.9f. It stops me from even opening the editor again. I have to delete the audio files in finder and then open the editor again.
