This issue is not solved.
Tested on Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04, using a variety of touch screens.
Touch has about a one second delay, only a single touch works, and swiping is broken.

"--works in 2017.4.2" Doesn't seem to be true. We tested this problem with version 2017.1.0xb3Linux and 2017.4.0f1 on a eGalaxTouch display and the issue still persist. The last version that works for us is Unity 5.5
