[Linux] Freeze when assets are dragged and dropped to VS Code
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached “BugRepro” project
2. Select the “Readme” asset in the Project window
3. Open the VS Code code editor
4. Drag the “Readme” asset to the VS Code
Expected result: VS Code opens the “Readme” file
Actual result: VS Code does not open the “Readme” file and some Unity Editor functions stop working
Reproducible with: 2021.3.34f1, 2022.3.17f1, 2023.2.6f1, 2023.3.0b3
Reproducible on: Ubuntu 22.04
Not reproducible on: Windows 10
Notes:
- Observed functions that stop working: Switching between Scene and Game windows, going out of the folder directory in the Project window, selecting and inspecting a GO
- Noticed that sometimes when reproducing the issue Ubuntu’s file explorer stops responding, after some time it starts working again
