Joints behavior changes when duplicating GameObjects with Configurable Joints or storing them as a prefab
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached project "ReproProj"
2. Open the “/Assets/joint spline walker 16.unity” Scene
3. In Hierarchy duplicate “spline walker complete 2”
4. In Inspector change Transform Position X to “-16.65“
5. Enter the Play Mode
6. Observe characters
Expected result: The behavior of the characters is identical
Actual result: The behavior of characters differ
Reproducible with: 2022.3.60f1, 6000.0.43f1, 6000.1.0b11, 6000.2.0a7
Reproducible on:
Play Mode
Windows Standalone Player
Testing environment: Windows 10 Enterprise 21H2
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
Note:
- Joints specifically around the torso area become more loose despite having the same values
